When shooting timed photos my Nikon D3200 has a setting that will shoot multiple timed exposures two seconds or 10 seconds apart up to I believe 10 frames. Makes it much easier when no one is around to help. Just press the shutter, get into position and try adjusting various positions between the shots that auto fire at 10 sec intervals.
