    Can’t tell you how much I enjoy the show. Congrats on the arrival of Sam Allan. Adam, I also love my yongnuo radio triggers.
    It warms my Canadian heart to hear two friends catching up each week and talking photography. I have my own friends, but they’re not into the photog like youz. So thanks for your commitment and tenacity.
    One day I’d love to buy you both a beer.
    Hey, do a workshop in Toronto in 2014! That’d be about halfway for both of you. Okay, my geography stinks, but I could liaison and such. Scout locations. Whatever! Bring Marquardt! I’ll buy all three of you beer!
    As a Dad of two girls, (4yr old, and 7 mos) it’s refreshing to hear two guys I can identify with, push each other to be better.
    Here’s to 2014!

  2. Oh yeah. Second kid? Wife=total emotional gong-show.
    Never underestimate the importance of sleep for a new Mother for the second time. Learn from my mistakes.
    It could get rough. You will get through it.
    Be gentle. Take the older leibeling outside for as long as you can. All weather. Outside. At least for the 1st three months. Just take the lead with your daughter as much as you can.
    Take NOTHING personally.
    Provide conditions for sleep.

    First off, thanks for all the compliments. Adam and I are blushing. We will see about some photo workshops and there is a very slight (hardly worth mentioning but you started it) chance that we could work Toronto into it. I would love it.

    Congrats on the new(ish) kid as well. I’m glad you got through it. I never take anything personally. At least not any more.

    Finally, Gregory Heisler’s book? Thanks for buying through us of course, but more importantly it is an outstanding book. I was lucky to get mine 2 days after it was released even though I hadn’t preordered. No idea why. I forget what I paid but I assure you we ripped Mr Heisler off. I keep meaning to mention it on the show but have not yet. I will do it next week. Enjoy.

  4. How did you get the “high speed sync” with off camera flash with the 6D? I was thinking of getting the 600ex, but wasn’t sure of its plus side compared to my 430 and Yongnuo.

    • I just listened to episode 154. Found out you were using YN622c transciever. Thanks anyway. Great show. Can’t believe I am just finding your show after 156 episodes. I got a lot of catching up.

  6. Happy New Year fellas, love the show. Been listening for a while and this is one of the few podcasts that makes photography feel doable with a boat load of gear.

    On the grounds that I find it difficult to find the time to pick up the camera most days, the fact that you two do this every week puts me to shame. I echo johnny T’s comments, I’d love to buy you two a beer. Maybe one day I’ll get the chance.

    I’m guessing you meant doable withOUT a boat load of gear. That was our intention from day 1 so I’m glad you feel that way.

    I don’t get to take as many photos as I’d like these days either. Life just gets in the way sometimes. Hopefully that will change in the Spring.

    Congratulations, a bouncing baby boy!

    So strange iTunes on my end will not download episodes 156 and 153. They do not show up on my subscription feed. Episode 157 downloads without any problems. So weird. I expect a glitch from PC products, but not from a Mac product. Wondering if you are experiencing this glitch on your end or is it just me and my PC.
