Recent Work- Found Photos

I call these “found” photos because I just happened upon them when I was out doing something else. Luckily I had my camera with me a bunch of times this week and grabbed these when the opportunity arose. Moral of the story? I don’t know. Keep your eyes open. Take your camera with you. Maintain a high fibre diet. All good advice.

This one and the title photo are both of an old tractor sitting in the sun at High Noon. Not the best light for most scenarios but I think it works here. Both taken with Canon 40D 17-85mm.

Mailbox as the light fades into the evening. I spotteded the variety of colours that were reflecting off the front of the mailbox. Canon 5D mkII 70-200 at 200mm)

Driving home last night we were lucky to get a great sunset so we pulled over next to the wheat field to grab a quick shot. In order to showcase the deepening sky I opted for a portrait orientation over a traditional landscape shot. Canon 40D 17-85mm.

Back in the car and five minutes down the road I spotted the airplane leaving the contrails for the sunset to illuminate. I wish the contrail was longer, that it happened earlier in the sunset, and that I had a longer lens. But you play the hand you’re dealt sometimes. I framed the shot through the leaves to add some perspective. Canon 40D 17-85mm.
